Francis of Assisi was God's instrument of peace. He was a man who appealed to the heart. He was never accused of being lukewarm rather, he lived his life afire. Francis found God in the concrete, mainly in other people. He lived a life of radical devotion to God and to the service of others, especially the poor and downtrodden. Following in the footsteps of Jesus, the members of Instruments of Peace strive to see Christ in our fellow sisters and brothers just as Francis did.
